Day 1 Arrive in Istanbul
Arrive in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to settle in, with the old city around Sultanahmet and the Golden Horn within easy reach.
Day 2 Historic Istanbul
A day among the monuments of the historic peninsula - Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace - with the Grand Bazaar close by for the afternoon.
Day 3 Bosphorus and local discovery
A cruise on the Bosphorus between the European and Asian shores, then time in the spice market and the neighbourhoods along the waterfront.
Day 4 Travel to Cappadocia
Travel south to Cappadocia. The evening is free in a landscape of rock-cut valleys, cave dwellings and open plateau.
Day 5 Cappadocia valleys
A day through the valleys around Goreme and Uchisar, among the rock formations the region is known for. A sunrise hot-air balloon flight can be arranged as an optional extra.
Day 6 Cappadocia at leisure
A slower day: the underground cities, the pottery workshops at Avanos, or simply more time in the valleys.
Day 7 Departure
